Breast augmentation

Breasts have always been a symbol of beauty and femininity. No wonder that their shape, symmetry and size significantly influence a woman's psyche if, in her opinion or in the opinion of those around her, they are less than ideal, i.e., too small, too big, or disproportionate.



 

Breast augmentation with implants can provide very good aesthetic results for patients with insufficiently developed breasts, or can restore normal appearance to sagging breasts. The implants are chosen according to the client’s anatomy and wishes; there are various possible shapes and sizes to choose from: round or anatomical, which follow the natural breast shape (teardrop shape).

Preparation:

The operation does not require much special preparation. Medications containing acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin, Acylpirin, Anopyrin, etc.) are not to be administered for 3 weeks before the treatment. Nothing is to be eaten or drunk and there is no smoking from midnight on the day of the operation. The skin must not be treated with any cream, moisturisers or body milk. Underarms must be shaven.

Breast augmentation

Operation:

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia and requires 1 to 2 days’ hospitalisation.

Post-operative procedures:

If drains are inserted during the course of the operation, they will be removed after 24 to 48 hours. Dressings can be removed and a bra worn 5 days after the operation. Hypodermic sutures can be removed on the 12th to 14th day at the earliest with augmentation surgery, or on the 17th to 21st day at the earliest with a modelling procedure. It is essential to wear a soft cup bra day and night and not to sleep on your stomach. Covering the scars with a strip of low allergy adhesive bandage is recommended for the following six weeks.
