Breast modeling or reshaping
Breasts have always been a symbol of beauty and femininity. No wonder then that their shape, symmetry and size significantly influence a woman's psyche if, in her opinion or in the opinion of those around her, they are less than ideal, i.e., too small, too big, or disproportionate.
Breast modelling or reshaping (sculpting) is done in cases where there is significant breast slackness or sagging, as well as in cases where the patient feels the breast shape and/or firmness needs to be improved. There are many ways to do this operation. The final decision on which operation can be done depends mainly on the initial breast shape and size, as well as the desired shape.
Preparation:
The operation does not require much special preparation. Medications containing acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin, Acylpirin, Anopyrin, etc.) are not to be administered for 3 weeks before treatment. Nothing is to be eaten or drunk and there is no smoking from midnight on the day of the operation. Skin must not be treated with any cream, moisturisers or body milk. Underarms must be shaven.

Operation:
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia and requires 1 to 2 days’ hospitalisation.
Post-operative procedures:
If drains are inserted during the course of the operation, they will be removed after 24 to 48 hours. Dressings can be removed and a bra worn 5 days after the operation. Hypodermic sutures can be removed on the 12th to 14th day at the earliest with augmentation surgery, or on the 17th to 21st day at the earliest with a modelling procedure. It is essential to wear a soft cup bra day and night and not to sleep on your stomach. Covering the scars with a strip of low allergy adhesive bandage is recommended for the following 6 weeks.
