Eylid surgery
Eyelids are functionally very exposed, so often the first visible signs of aging are noticed here. Over the years, elasticity or skin flexibility is gradually lost, and surplus skin becomes visible on the eyelids, often giving them a droopy, tired-looking appearance. This can be influenced by other factors as well, such as heredity, skin type, skin care regimen, allergies, or medical conditions such as kidney disease. This is not just a cosmetic problem, but also can cause functional ones, both physical and psychological, creating the feeling of tiredness, causing eye pain, watering of the eyes, worsening vision, headaches, and so on. Based on the patient's wishes and the condition of the patient's facial tissue, it is possible to operate either on the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or to combine the operations.
Preparation:
No make-up is to be used, medications containing acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin, Acylpirin, Anopyrin, etc.) are not to be administered for 3 weeks before the treatment. Do not use any eyelid cream for one day prior to the operation. On the day of the operation, careful degreasing has to be done. Dark glasses are to be taken along to the clinic.

Post-operative procedures:
Main swellings and bruises will become absorbed within a week. One week later, wearing make-up is possible, and within 5-7 days it is possible to go out. The stitches are removed 4-5 days after the operation. It is re commended to sleep on your back during the first couple of days after the operation, to prevent the development of a single tumescence of the eyelid(s).
After the operation, it is necessary to regularly apply sterile compresses with cold boric acid lotion, or with cold boiled water every 3-6 hours. One day before suture removal, grease the plaster(s) on the eyelid(s) thoroughly with Opthalmo-septonex. Remove the plaster(s) in the evening and grease again. In the morning, grease the sutures again - for the last time. Do not grease again!
