Jiří Borský, M.D., graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. He completed the first and second level postgraduate diploma in surgery and received the postgraduate diploma in plastic surgery in 1994. Since 1995 he has been working as a plastic surgeon at the Department of Plastic Surgery, University Hospital Královské Vinohrady and for more than 12 years he has been specialising in the surgery of facial clefts. He focuses on plastic surgery of congenital deformities in children at the Department of Paediatric Stomatology at the University Hospital Motol Praha and at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology in the Thomayer University Hospital. He is the author and co-author of many specialised articles and publications. In his private practice he is involved in the whole range of plastic surgeries.
He is a member of the Czech Medical Association of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, the Czech Plastic Surgery Association, the Czech Aesthetic Surgery Association and the Czech Association of Hand Surgery.
