Ultrasound liposuction
This is the first apparatus of its kind in the Czech Republic. Ultrasound is used to remove the excess fat.
What are the advantages of ultrasound liposuction (UAL)?
Post-operative recovery is quicker and more comfortable as ultrasound basically only breaks down the fat cells and significantly protects other subcutaneous structures.
As the fat is broken down by ultrasound (not mechanically disrupted as with traditional liposuction) the body is sculpted much more evenly and perfectly. Post-operative unevenness of the skin surface is reduced to a minimum.
With the assistance of UAL, it is possible to remove larger volumes of fat during one procedure.
In certain cases – and after thorough pre-operative evaluation - it is possible to use UAL as a support method for treating obesity.
It can also be used with higher age groups, as well as with men, as UAL results in much better skin tightening of the treated area.
UAL can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
UAL extends the spectrum of earlier "forbidden" zones, e.g., front of thighs.

Preparation:
The operation does not require much special preparation. Nothing is to be eaten or drunk and there is no smoking from midnight on the day of the operation. Hair must be shaven before abdomen liposuction. Caution must be exercised with lymphatic system disorders.
Operation:
Operations affecting smaller areas are performed under local anaesthesia, bigger areas require general anaesthesia.
Post-operative procedures:
If drains are inserted during the course of the operation, they will be removed after 24 to 48 hours. Stitches are taken out after 7 to 10 days. In the course of the operation special flexible liposuction underwear is put on, which is worn for 5 to 7 days. Then it can be taken off, washed and put on again. It is necessary to wear it in the prescribed way for at least a month or longer depending on the extent of the operation. After one month, it is no longer necessary to wear the special underwear at night. It is necessary to wear flexible dressings for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. The final effect of the operation can become evident as much as several months later.
